Reason:  System Upgrade/Migration to version 2.9 of eParcel Services

User action required:     None

More Information: ISaWeb Christian Bretterhofer

During that time will migrated all existing data from version 2.8 to 2.9
Version 2.9

  • Browsers supporting the HTML5 File API can now resume interrupted file uploads. Currently this are FireFox and Chrome. Internet explorer may get this feature with Version IE10.
So if you have a slow network connection or a interrupted file upload you can resume that upload without waiting time from scratch. We keep the uploaded parts for 3 days so you can complete in that period. This resumable uploader also needs no more a Browser Plugin ( Adobe Flash not needed ).
As this upload also sends multiple chunks in parallel you should also see a speed upgrade.
This new uploader allows us now to enable single file sizes up to 15 GB if uploaded by those modern browsers.
  • Due to frequent requests we started to support also folders at eParcel. In the past folders were only supported by using a FTP/FTPS client like filezilla. If you donot have access to a modern browser like FireFox and Chrome, using FTP/FTPS clients is still a valid way to have resumble uploads.
  • Increase of total size of e eParcel to 15GB

Access your eParcels by FTPS

October 1st, 2011

Major new feature is that all eParcels are now accessible by FTPS. This secure protocoll supported by ftp-clients like FileZilla enables a better Client Support,

Creation and deletion of an eParcel is still done at web interface.
But Read/writes to eParcel can now be also done via ftp client. Just use your eParcel user password to access all your eParcels.

Even all receivers can become limited users.
This enables all receivers to have a single password to all of their eParcels too.
